You take the load because the truck is sitting.
Not because the rate is good. You know the difference and you take it anyway, because an empty truck earns nothing and something beats nothing.
Flat 6% · no contract · 7 days out
Truck dispatch for owner-operators and small fleets — top-paying loads, negotiated rates, and zero paperwork across all 48 states.
Owner-operators and small fleets running two to five trucks under their own authority. Nothing owed until a load delivers.
You can work a load board. You've been doing it for years. The question is what those two hours a day are worth, and what you give up in the process.
Not because the rate is good. You know the difference and you take it anyway, because an empty truck earns nothing and something beats nothing.
So you deadhead two hundred miles to where the freight is, and the load you take next has to cover the miles you ran empty.
But arguing it takes forty minutes you don't have while you're trying to find a shower and a parking spot.
Because chasing it means phone calls during hours you're supposed to be sleeping.
None of that is a load board problem. It's a time problem, and time is the one thing you can't buy more of from the cab.
You tell us where you're empty and when. We find the load, negotiate the rate, and send you the broker's confirmation to approve. Everything after that is ours.
See how it worksWe work the boards and build the broker relationships that come with running the same lanes repeatedly, then we negotiate. The posted rate is a starting position, not a price.
We send you the rate confirmation exactly as the broker issued it. Nothing edited, nothing summarised. You read it. If the rate is wrong, the timing is wrong, or you just don't like the look of it, you say no and we go find another one.
Broker communication, check calls, appointment scheduling, problems at the dock. All of it is ours from the moment you approve the load. You drive.
If you sit four hours, we chase the detention. If they load you late, we chase the accessorial. This is the money most owner-operators write off because chasing it costs more hours than it returns.
The gap between delivering and loading again is where owner-operators lose money. Closing that gap is most of the value here, and it only works if somebody is looking before the wheels stop.
We collect your operating authority letter, certificate of insurance, W-9, and your factoring company's notice of assignment if you factor. After that, the broker pays you or your factor does — direct, the same way it works now.
Full-service truck dispatch for owner-operators and small fleets — everything it takes to stay loaded and paid.
View all servicesWe search the major load boards, filter freight against your equipment and the lanes you told us you’d run, and bring you loads that fit your business — not just whatever is available.
The broker’s first number is never the broker’s last number. We negotiate directly for a better rate and better terms, so you aren’t leaving money on the table to save an argument.
Carrier packets, rate confirmations, insurance certificates and broker onboarding. Prepared, submitted and filed, so you spend the time driving instead of scanning documents at a truck stop.
After delivery we consolidate your BOL, POD and receipts, build the invoice and submit it to your factoring company. The money still goes straight to you — it never routes through us.
From pickup to delivery we handle broker communication, check calls and appointment times, and we deal with problems at the dock before they turn into a delay you’re paying for.
The administrative side of the operation kept organised and current, so your authority, insurance and broker records are never the reason a load falls through.
See why owner-operators and small fleets trust Downtown Dispatch to keep their trucks moving.
Every rate confirmation reaches you exactly as the broker sent it — before anything is booked, and with nothing removed.
Test it on the first loadThe broker or your factoring company pays you direct, the same as it works now. We hold nothing, so there is nothing to withhold.
Every one of these sits in the one-page agreement you sign, and every one is checkable without taking our word for anything.
You see the broker’s original rate confirmation. We can’t put you on anything you haven’t read.
The broker or your factoring company pays you direct, the same way it works now. Nothing routes through Downtown Dispatch, so there’s nothing to hold and nothing to skim.
No setup fee. No retainer. No monthly minimum. If we don’t move you, we don’t earn.
Keep booking your own freight. Use another dispatcher at the same time if you want. We’re not asking you to give anything up.
Either side, no reason required, no penalty. If it isn’t working after a week, say so.
Not a page of marketing. The agreement is one page, and these are the terms on it.
Send us your MC authority and equipment details — we’ll get you set up and working on quality loads quickly. No long-term contracts, no forced dispatch.
Fees, contracts, broker versus dispatcher, rate confirmations and cancellation. No sales pitch — if the answer is no, it says no.
Ask us something elseA truck dispatch service finds freight for owner-operators and small fleets, negotiates the rate with the broker, and handles the paperwork and communication around the load. The carrier keeps their own operating authority and remains in control of which loads they accept. The dispatcher works on the carrier’s behalf and is paid by the carrier, not by the broker or shipper.
Truck dispatch services typically charge between 5% and 10% of a load’s gross linehaul, with 6% to 8% most common for carriers running one to five trucks. Some charge a flat weekly fee instead, usually $250 to $500 per truck. Downtown Dispatch charges 6% of linehaul and nothing until the load delivers.
No. A freight broker arranges transportation on behalf of a shipper, holds the payment, and profits from the margin between what the shipper pays and what the carrier receives. A dispatcher works for the carrier, is paid by the carrier, and never takes possession of the freight or the money. Brokers require operating authority from the FMCSA and a surety bond. Downtown Dispatch is structured as the carrier’s agent under a written agreement, works only at the carrier’s direction, and takes no part in arranging transportation on a shipper’s behalf.
Yes. You need active interstate operating authority in your own name. If you’re leased on to another carrier, that carrier controls your freight and a dispatch service can’t help you.
Some do. The practical difficulty is that many brokers won’t load a carrier with authority under 90 days old, and some require six months. A dispatcher can sign you quickly but may struggle to book you, which is why Downtown Dispatch works primarily with carriers who have held authority for twelve months or more.
Yes. Our agreement isn’t exclusive. Book your own freight, use another dispatcher at the same time, whatever suits you.
Ask to see the rate confirmation exactly as the broker issued it, unedited. A dispatcher taking a hidden margin cannot show you that document. We send you every rate confirmation in its original form before anything is booked.
This risk is real with a flat weekly fee, where the dispatcher earns the same whether you’re booked at $1.90 a mile or $2.80. On a percentage fee the incentive reverses: every dollar left on the table costs the dispatcher too. On 6%, a dispatcher who negotiates $300 more keeps $18 and hands you $282.
There’s a one-page agreement, which is legally necessary for a dispatcher to represent you to a broker. There’s no minimum term. Seven days’ notice ends it, either side, no reason required and no penalty.
Weekly, on loads that have delivered. Not on loads booked. No setup fee, no retainer, no monthly minimum.
Your operating authority letter, certificate of insurance, a W-9, and your factoring company’s notice of assignment if you factor. Plus your truck and trailer details and your driver information.
Dry van and reefer. We don’t dispatch flatbed, step deck or RGN, because securement and tarping are specialist work and we’d rather say so than learn on your truck.
Downtown Dispatch operates from Pakistan and dispatches carriers across the United States. It means your dispatcher is working while US-based dispatchers are asleep, which matters when a load needs covering at 4am or a broker needs chasing on a Sunday.
Tell us about your truck and your authority. We’ll come back with what we can do for your lanes — no obligation, no contract to sign first.
We’ve got your details. Here’s what happens next.
